It is impossible to live without failing at something, unless you live so cautiously that you might as well not have lived at all, in which case you have failed by default.

Individual Adult Psychotherapy

Individual therapy can be an empowering journey of self-awareness and growth during which one will be facilitated in exploring the thoughts, emotions, and behaviours guiding your life. You may be seeking therapy for several different reasons or with one particular concern in mind. Depending on need, both past and present experiences may be discussed if contributing to distress. Evidence-based therapeutic technique will be utilised with the aim of creating long-lasting improvement by teaching methods to manage existing issues as well as the ability to navigate future challenges on one’s own.

Couples Psychotherapy

Few couples expect they will ever need counselling, and often couples seek help only when they are in a crisis. Therapy can be hugely advantageous regardless of whether seeking out counselling to enhance a healthy relationship, during a time of distress or to explore whether one wants to remain within a partnership (discernment counselling). Couples therapy offers a private space to work through intimate relationship challenges such as communication struggles, disconnection, growing apart, infidelity and sexual dissatisfaction.

Adolescent Psychotherapy

Therapy can be a helpful way for teenagers to learn new skills to assist them in moving through the challenges they may be facing. It is quite common for teenagers to experience difficulties relating to self-esteem, identity, communication, regulating emotions and navigating friendships and/or romantic relationships. As a parent, you play an important role in supporting your teenager throughout the therapeutic process and therefore you may be asked to attend the first session to provide relevant history.

Online therapy

Online consultation has grown in popularity. It allows for engagement regardless of proximity or restrictions. Currently many South Africans abroad choose to have online sessions with psychologists from their home country. Some people merely enjoy the convenience of not having to commute for sessions which would otherwise take time out of their working day. Regardless of why one may choose an online platform, it’s an easily accessible, convenient manner within which therapy can be sought.

Therapy available in both English and Afrikaans.
